Revert "Merge branch 'ipv6-overflow-arith'"

Linus dislikes these changes. To not hold up the net-merge let's revert
it for now and fix the bug like Linus suggested.

This reverts commit 2104b6d8845bc26d56d2afbe7e0cd7da501db72c, reversing
changes made to 40d370535fa6e606545431034d3c8549697b0c3e.
