Revert "Merge branch 'ipv6-overflow-arith'"

Linus dislikes these changes. To not hold up the net-merge let's revert
it for now and fix the bug like Linus suggested.

This reverts commit 6de0b471267f855d5f298cb599353d807263e64a, reversing
changes made to 4c827445848f066190fceea67edc6f50f74b9d0a.
